Perception’s longest standing client, Westbourne’s Chez Fred enjoys legendary status in the UK fish and chip industry. The multi award-winning restaurant and takeaway has become synonymous with the cartoon-based brand style, utilised across print advertising, menus, leaflets and posters. Born from an idea that came up at the very first client meeting back in 1990, the cartoons have stood the test of time, an unchanging constant as the over-arching brand style has evolved.

Over the years, a successful working partnership has encompassed everything from packaging, radio commercials and copywriting to art direction with the client’s web agency and design support through an extensive rebuild and refit in 2015.
